The Story of Mallikarjun and Sucharitha is a wedding storytelling project created to turn a collection of personal photographs into a cohesive and emotionally driven visual narrative. The design combines intimate portraits, candid moments, traditional wedding imagery, and carefully selected floral elements to create the feeling of a timeless love story. We developed a refined editorial layout that allows the photographs to lead the story while typography, decorative borders, botanical illustrations, and subtle color treatments add a romantic character. The overall design celebrates their relationship while preserving the cultural richness and warmth of their wedding memories.
The challenge was to bring photographs captured across different settings, moments, and visual styles into one consistent storytelling experience. The design needed to preserve the authenticity of the photographs while creating a strong emotional flow from one page to another. It was also important to balance traditional Indian wedding aesthetics with a contemporary editorial approach, avoiding an overly decorative or crowded composition. The typography, imagery, colors, and decorative elements all needed to work together while keeping the couple and their story at the center.
We created a cinematic wedding-story layout that combines expressive photography with elegant editorial typography and delicate decorative details. Selective color treatment, including monochrome imagery with highlighted jewelry and vibrant natural tones, was used to create visual emphasis and emotional contrast. Floral illustrations, ornamental corner details, spacious compositions, and refined typography were introduced to give the story a romantic and premium character. The photographs were arranged as a sequence of moments rather than simply a gallery, allowing the final design to read as a visual journey through Mallikarjun and Sucharitha’s relationship and wedding celebration.
